![]() ![]() Note: I don't have Windows 11 or even Windows 10 because I prefer Windows 7, but both Classic Shell and Open Shell operate pretty much the same way. You can adjust the taskbar and the Start menu, or either one without touching the other, and there are even a few tweaks for Explorer menu items. One of the icons (might be an image of a shell) should display when you hover the mouse over it "Classic Explorer Settings" so click on that an play with the various options-I like to turn on the "show all settings" option in the Classic Explorer settings so I can see all of the options available. StartAllBack primarily allows you to revert some or all aspects of the Start Menu and taskbar to Windows 10 style (or in some cases, Windows 7, for those who really can't let go). If you don't see any icons on the new bar, take a look at the bar on the right side of the Explorer display and you may need to use the mouse to pull the new bar to the left to expose all the Classic Explorer bar icons-initially only one Classic Explorer icon might be displayed until you pull to the left. Try opening Explorer, go to View > Options and there should be a "Classic Explorer Bar" suboption and click to "activate" it-checkmarking it makes it visible after you close and reopen Explorer and you should see a new bar near the top of the Explorer display-above the file listings. You have to "turn it on" (so to speak) in Explorer. >the menu bar (file, edit, display) as in windows 7 in file explorer is unfortunately not restored. ![]()
